University Application Deadlines You Shouldnt Miss

Every year many students miss university deadlines in South Africa This guide help you not miss yours

deadline

Applying to university in South Africa is a big step for many students. But missing the deadline can stop your dream. That is why you must know the dates and plan early.

Most universities open applications in April or May. Some like University of Johannesburg and University of Pretoria start early. You must check their websites and mark the dates.

Closing dates are not the same for all. Some close in July others in September or October. For example University of Cape Town often closes in July. UNISA closes later around October. Always check the exact date for your course.

Late applications are not always allowed. Some universities say no to late forms. Others may charge extra or only allow if space is still open. It is better to apply early and avoid stress.

NSFAS also has a deadline. If you want funding you must apply before the closing date. NSFAS usually opens in September and closes in January. But do not wait too long. Apply early and upload all documents.

TVET colleges also have deadlines. They open and close at different times. If you want to study at a college check their calendar. Some allow walk-in applications but others need online forms.

You can apply to more than one university. But you must follow each deadline. Make a list and set reminders. This help you stay on track and not miss any chance.

Can I change my course after applying?

Yes some universities allow you to change your course before the closing date. You must log in to your application portal and edit your choice. But after the deadline it may not be possible. Always choose carefully and ask the university if you are not sure.
