After choosing the university you must check the entry requirements. Each course has different marks needed. You must pass your matric with the right subjects and APS score. Some courses also need extra things like portfolios or interviews.

You must also pay the application fee. This fee is not the same for all universities. Some are R100 some are more. You pay using EFT or card. If you do not pay your application may not be processed.

After applying you wait for feedback. Universities will send you emails or SMS to tell you if you are accepted or not. If you are accepted you must confirm your space. You also get info about registration and orientation.

Many students also apply for NSFAS. This is a bursary that help pay for fees and books. You apply for NSFAS online on their website. You need your ID your parents income proof and your matric results. NSFAS is for students who need financial help.

What if I want to apply to more than one universityYes you can apply to many universities at the same time. It is good to have options. But you must make sure you meet the requirements for each one. Also keep track of the deadlines. Some close in July others in September. If you get accepted to more than one you choose the one that is best for you.
